First steps

Taking The First Steps are always the hardest in anything one does and internet affiliate marketing is no exception. Whenever we venture into the unknown we are akin to a baby Taking The First Steps in life.

However the baby has a few advantages. First they are fearless and secondly they have some good protection on their lower end. Unlike the baby, us fully grown ups have to overcome the fear factor and unfortunately this is a real show stopper and will probably account for a large part of any group that fails at Taking The First Steps.

Take a Leap Of Faith

Today I have taken the plunge into the abyss by writing my first blog. The purpose of the exercise is to Get Going, Take The Plunge, Fall Over the Edge! I, like many other people need a little shove and our worst enemy can be ourselves. Depending on ones personality, one can be too much of a perfectionist, especially me! I know that I am writing this straight from the heart but in the back of my mind there is a whole heap of questions that I don’t know the answer to and I am trying really hard to block them out, otherwise I would completely stop in my tracks. I probably haven’t done enough SEO (search engine optimization) rules like I’m supposed to, but guess what, I don’t care!

Getting To This Point

The reason I don’t care is not that I’m lazy, but this is a celebration of getting to this point. Believe it or not, a huge amount of effort has been put in to getting to this point. I have watched countless videos on setting up Wordpress, Learned Keyword Research, SEO Rules, Participated in Forums, Watched many Webinars and lost four months, chasing unsustainable internet strategies.

The reason I have been able to persevere is because when one is doing something one loves and is so excited that its really difficult getting to sleep at night, then its not a chore to participate in another forum chat or watch another video. The only problem is there are not enough hours in the day and the endless hunger to learn and be better at what one is doing and the ‘cold turkey,’ when there is no learning webinar showing on that day.

Really Excited Going Forward

I am really excited to be part of a successful internet affiliate marketing program which is highlighted on my website AffiliateMakeMoneyOnlineProgramWays. I will be updating this blog as I progress and I hope you to, are new to Internet Affiliate Marketing and if you would like to follow my next post simply click on the RSS feed (the orange icon) at either the top or bottom of the page and add it to your news reader like Google Reader. My up and coming objective is to first page rank my website on Google and I will be regularly reporting on that progress.
